Kildare is set to take centre stage this weekend as the county hosts the grand final of Curfá, the flagship Irish-language choir competition from TG4.

The highly anticipated finale will take place on Saturday, 11 April, at St Brigid’s Cathedral, with organisers now calling on members of the public to join the live studio audience.

Filming at the historic venue will offer attendees a rare behind-the-scenes look at a professional television production, with audience members also in with a chance of appearing on screen during the broadcast.

Curfá has brought together choirs from across Ireland in recent weeks, celebrating Irish-language music and performance. The final will see three standout choirs compete for the title of Ireland’s Best Choir.
