Overcrowding increases at hospital

Eleven on trolleys at Naas Hospital this morning

Naas Hospital

Some 21 people were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.

It was the second most overcrowded facility in the east behind St Vincent's Hospital which had 28 patients on trolleys.

There was no overcrowding at Tullamore Hospital and there were two on trolleys in Portlaoise
