Schools from all over Kildare have been getting in the swing of the 1916 anniversary celebrations.
The Curragh Post Primary is no different, however this school was in a unique position with the army joining in their special event held on recently at the Curragh gym.
Military personnel were on hand to display the guns and equipment that would have been used at the time.
A lot of hard work had gone into the students' presentation titled Ireland from 1916 to 2016. It was an authentic project with great skills displayed in knowledge, artwork and historical analysis. The students really got into the mind set of the era of the Rising donning costumes with great character.
