Ten patients on trolleys at Kildare's main hospital today

One Dublin hospital was more than four times as overcrowded

Naas hospital urges patients to get medical care elsewhere due to overcrowding

Ten people were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.

However overcrowding was worst in the east of the country at St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, where 43 people were on trolleys, followed by Beaumont Hospital (40).

Nine people were treated on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital and there was not overcrowding at Tullamore Hospital.
