Good news for homebuyers as almost 100 new homes to be built in Kildare

A total of 99 new homes have been planned for a mixed use development in Sallins, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), Anthony Neville Homes has secured planning permission to construct the €23m development at Sallins Link Road, Kildare W91 P2D8, Co Kildare.

Planning application number 2560849 was submitted to Kildare County Council for consideration on July 31 2025.

The scheme consists of construction of a mixed-use development comprising 99 residential units and a creche facility to be accessed from Sallins Link Road.

The residential units will consist of 75 houses and 24 own-door duplex apartments.

  • The houses will consist of a mix of 2 and 3-storey semi-detached and terraced dwellings comprising 63 x 3-bedroom and 12 x 4-bedroom units.

  • The duplex apartments will be located in 4 x 3-storey buildings and shall comprise 10 x 1-bedroom, 12 x 2-bedroom and 2 x 3-bedroom units with associated balconies/terraces.

A single storey creche will extend to c.207m2 with associated outdoor play area.

The development will also include:

  • vehicular and pedestrian entrance from Sallins Link Road;

  • pedestrian link to Grand Canal Greenway;

  • internal access roads;

  • homezones, footpaths and cycle lanes;

  • car parking (131 no. spaces);

  • bicycle parking;

  • bin storage and substations.

Also included will be landscaped public open spaces, boundary treatments and entrance signage; temporary construction access from Sallins Link Road; demolition of agricultural shed; drainage infrastructure and all associated site works and services.

The architect for the development is McCrossan O'Rourke Manning Architects.
