A man has been arrested by gardaí following an alleged burglary incident in County Kildare.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this development, a garda spokesperson replied: "Gardaí responded to the scene of an alleged burglary at a residential property in Broadford, County Kildare on Monday, March 9 last at approximately 12pm.

"A man (aged in his 40s) arrested at the scene by gardaí in connection with this incident.

"He has since been charged and is due to appear before Naas District Court at a later date."

The spokesperson added that the investigation into this alleged incident ongoing.

Lastly, the spokesperson emphasised: "As this matter is now before the courts, no further information can be provided at this time."
