One lucky Lotto player in County Kildare had plenty of reason to celebrate following the midweek draw.

The lucky winner matched five numbers and the bonus, which nabbed them a whopping total of €338,152.

The winning ticket was purchased on Saturday, February 28 last, at Brett’s Centra, which is located on the Melitta Road in Kildare Town.

The winning numbers in the most recent Wednesday draw (March 4 last) were: 05, 08, 11, 25, 27, and 37, while the Bonus was 02.

The winner has since made contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team and arrangements are now being made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.

In addition, National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr, revealed: "While there was no winner of the €2,293,415 jackpot on offer for the midweek draw, Saturday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €2.5 million."

CLAIMS

Furthermore, two Daily Million syndicates from Kildare and Donegal arrived at Lottery Headquarters earlier this week in order to claim their top prize amounts from February draws.

On February 16 last, a Kildare syndicate had a memorable start to their week after scooping the top prize of €1 million in the 9pm Monday night draw. Their winning ticket was purchased online.

One member of the syndicate said: "Can you believe that I thought we had won €1,000 initially? Even at that, I was in shock and then I looked a little closer.

"I told the rest of the syndicate, who of course, didn’t believe me."

The member added: "They waited for me to call the Claims team to get the prize confirmed before getting ahead of themselves with the celebrations."

The Kildare winners have already started to think about what to do with their funds, and have emphasised that "looking after family" is their top prority.

Lastly, another member revealed: "I would absolutely love to buy a place in Spain as well; the promise of sunshine would be the ultimate dream!”
