Just one patient was treated on a trolley at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.
It was the least overcrowded hospital in the east. There were two people on trolleys at Beaumont Hospital and overcrowding was worst at St Vincent's Hospital where the overcrowding figure was 30.
There were no patients on trolleys at Tullamore Hospital and the overcrowding figure for Portlaoise Hospital was also zero.
