A man told Naas District Court that a claim by his ex-girlfriend that he owes her €20,000 is untrue.
The man also alleged, during a family law hearing, that this was one of a number of untruths the woman told about him.

He also claimed she is trying to contact him on a “no call ID” number.
He also claimed the woman, who was not present or represented, had contacted the former school about him and “all because I didn’t want to have sex with her.”
He also told Judge Desmond Zaidan that she had posted abusive messages about him on social media.
The man further alleged the woman beat him up on their first date and described some of her behaviour as "an obsession.”
He said as a result of the assault he was bleeding from the mouth.
He said he had stayed with her for as long as he did “to give her the benefit of the doubt.”
He also said an issue arose because he “saw something on her phone” to the effect that she was seeing someone else.
He also said she was writing about him on a social media platform page which has his name and face.
Judge Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to June 27. He told the man that the order would cease if he did not come to court on that date.
