A garda spokesperson said of the campaign: “This campaign is about one simple message: Slow Down. Save Lives.

Speeding reduces your reaction time, increases stopping distance, and makes collisions more severe.

  • Obey the speed limits

  • Adjust your speed for weather and road conditions

  • Be mindful of pedestrians, cyclists and other road users

  • Allow extra time for your journey

Let’s work together to keep our roads safe across Kildare and Carlow.

A few seconds saved is never worth a life lost."
