A woman and child were in bed when her husband played heavy metal music, it’s been alleged.
The woman told Naas District Court he was drunk at the time and she sought court protection.
She told Judge Desmond that they are going through a separation and they sleep in separate bedrooms.

She also claimed he is reluctant to engage with the separation process.
She also claimed he is not working but he is drinking and he is aggressive. She said she and her child were awoken by the music playing and the older child returned home and took batteries from the remote control.
Before that, she said she went down after an hour and when she challenged him he told her “I can’t hear you.”
She said the older child then coaxed him to bed.
The man was not present or represented and Judge Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the matter to June 22.
