It will be removed from the register as soon as refurbishment works are complete, Cllr Declan Ryan was told at a Celbridge Leixlip Municipal District meeting.
Levies owed will be deducted from any compensation payment made. KCC also said it’s in regular communication with the owners regarding plans for the sites. Properties listed are subject to an annual levy of 7% and demand notices are issued to the owners annually.
When the Leixlip area is added, the number of derelict properties rises to eight.
KCC says that levies owed on properties in the Celbridge-Leixlip area amounted to €116, 409 in 2024, compared with €63,805 in 2023.
