Kildare's main hospital is the least overcrowded in the region today

There was just one patient treated on a trolley

Naas hospital urges patients to get medical care elsewhere due to overcrowding

There was just one patient being treated on a trolley today at Naas Hospital making it the least overcrowded facility in the east.

The most overcrowded hospital was Tallaght where there were 37 people on trolleys, followed by the Mater Hospital  where the overcrowding figure was 28.

There were no patients on trolleys at Tullamore Hospital and the overcrowding figure for Portlaoise Hospital was five.
