The Lilies were pegged back with the last play of the game against Cork in their league opener before falling to a fine Armagh side at home in week two. It has been a far from disastrous for Pat Sullivan's side but another point (or two) would be more than welcome as they reach the end of their first block of three games.

Meanwhile, Galway opened their 2026 campaign with a superb 0-16 to 0-8 win over Meath away from home. The Tribeswomen were on the road again the following week when they came up just short to Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn. At 1-10 to 2-5, Galway put in a strong showing away from home but, unlike Kildare, came away with nothing when visiting Cork. They will be looking forward to their first league game on home soil.
