All the details for Kildare hurlers' crucial clash with Antrim this weekend

Brian Dowling's Kildare side are looking to bounce back from their defeat to Dublin when they face Davy Fitzgerald's Antrim this Sunday, February 8. Throw-in is set for 2pm at Cedral St Conleth's Park as both side's look to get their first win on the board in Allianz Hurling League Division 1B.

Antrim got their season off to an impressive, if not disappointing, start with a fine showing away to Wexford, but came away with nothing come the final whistle in Chadwicks Wexford Park as they suffered a 1-13 to 1-12 loss after a last-minute winner. Their opening day defeat was followed by a heavy home loss to Clare with the 2024 All-Ireland champions leaving Ruairí Óg, Cushendall with a 2-30 to 1-19 win.

These team's have already faced off in 2026 with Kildare taking an 0-17 to 2-10 victory in the Walsh Shield semi-final that should hearten their belief headed into this game. The Lilies produced a stellar second half comeback and won the game with the last puck of it from Liam O'Reilly.
