A programme of works is planned before a Kildare housing estate is taken in charge.

Cllr Anne Breen asked about progress around Primrose Gardens in Naas.

"It's finished 18 years (ago),” Cllr Breen claimed at a Naas Municipal District committee meeting.

Kildare County Council engineer Liam McNeela said works targeting surface and foul water were identified and a tender will be issued in the coming weeks for works, which will be confirmed in consultation with Uisce Éireann.

He said it's anticipated that a contractor will be appointed before Christmas and that construction will commence before June 2026.
