Volunteers urgently needed to trap and neuter Kildare's wild cats

The Kildare West Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Kitty Cottage continues to carry out its vital work through an extensive trap, neuter and release (TNR) programme across the community.

This helps to reduce the number of vulnerable stray and feral cats while improving their long-term welfare. Despite a highly successful 2025, the need for intervention remains significant. Each month, volunteers encounter new colonies and individual cats living in difficult conditions, many of whom are in urgent need of care.

To help meet this growing demand, Our Kitty Cottage is now appealing for an additional volunteer to join it’s dedicated team, with a particular need for support in the Athy area.

Please contact 087-3439803 if you are interested in becoming a TNR volunteer.
"We would like to sincerely thank all our supporters for their ongoing kindness and generosity, which enables us to continue our important work in the community," said the KWWSPCA.
