Kildare town AFC has expressed gratitude to Kildare County Council (KCC) over its delivery of improvement works on its grounds.
Announcing the development, the club said that it is "delighted to share" that KCC will be constructing a new footpath, in addition to installing new lighting leading into the club.
"This is a huge step forward for our community facility and a real win for everyone who uses the grounds," the club added. "A massive thank you to councillor Suzanne Doyle [Fianna Fáil], Paddy Curran and everyone in KCC for the hard work and support in making this happen.
Speaking on the new footpath, Kildare town AFC claimed that it will make it "easier and more appealing for members to walk and cycle to the club, helping us cut car journeys and reduce our carbon footprint".
Furthermore, the club asserted that the new lighting will be a "game-changer" during darker evenings, "improving visibility, comfort, and personal safety for players, families, and volunteers coming and going—especially through the winter months".
