Kildare's Naas Roads Policing Unit (Naas RPU) recently stopped a motorcycle travelling at high speed on the N7 near Kill.

The rider:

  • Had no insurance

  • Brought a foreign-registered motorcycle into the State over two years ago and failed to have it re-registered

  • Tested positive for cannabis and was arrested for drug driving

The motorcycle was seized.

A court appearance will follow for:

  • No insurance

  • Failure to register vehicle

  • Drug driving

A garda spokesperson said: “Please slow down and never drive or ride under the influence of drink or drugs.

Your decisions can have lifelong consequences for you and others.”
