2025 Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup champions DCU Dóchas Éireann have been eliminated from this years' tournament following a cracking game with 2023 champs University College Cork. Kildare forwards Ryan Sinkey (Naas) and Darragh Sword were in the starting XV for DCU's 3-16 to 1-20 quarter-final defeat.

However, with DCU leading 1-4 to 0-6 after 18 minutes of action, the Naas man was taken off and replaced by Conor Dolan. Sinkey's health is something to keep an eye with Kildare set to face Offaly this weekend, especially with the young forward being one of Brian Flanagan's most trusted players in 2025. Despite an impressive showing against Tyrone, The Lilies can scarcely afford to lose another forward option.

The Dublin University came up just short in this excellent last eight encounter and were beaten late on by stoppage time scores from UCC's Tom Cunningham and Cormac Dillon.
