Application made for change of use from restaurant to office accommodation in this Kildare town

Plans have been submitted to Kildare County Council for the change of use of a Maynooth premises from a restaurant to office accommodation.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning application number 2660019 was submitted to the local authority on January 13 2026.

The €135k plans are with respect to a property addressed at: Buckley House, Parson Street, Maynooth, Co Kildare, with the promoter/client listed as Maynooth University.

The scheme comprises the proposed change of use from a restaurant (305m2) to office accommodation, the removal of the existing open area refuse bin store (18m2), and the incorporation of this area into the office layout with a continuation of the existing flat roof.

The proposal also includes the removal of the refuse bin store door and installation of a new window on the south-facing elevation.

The architect for the proposed development is Demesne Architects Limited.

CIS is monitoring the Local Planning Authority for a decision.
