Dublin Coach is asking people living in County Kildare to provide it with feedback regarding its Route 726.

The company, which operates the Green Bus, acknowledged on social media that the route, which services areas including Newbridge, Naas and Monasterevin, "has had its challenges".

Dublin Coach also said: "We’re already addressing fleet issues (that work is ongoing), but while we can improve reliability, we can’t control traffic.

"What we can do is make sure the timetable works as well as possible around it."

The company continued: "Before we finalise upcoming timetable changes, we want to hear from the people who know this route best — you.

"This is your route, and your feedback genuinely helps shape how it operates.

"Are there times that don’t work? Services you rely on most? Anything we should look at differently?"

In addition, Dublin Coach said that there are "some constraints that it has to work within, it nevertheless assured the public that it is determined to find solutions to the issues affecting Route 726.

The company further assured the public that it remains "committed to making Route 726 work better for everyone".

"Share your thoughts — we’re listening," Dublin Coach concluded.

Dublin Coach notably made headlines in August of last year when it was acquired by Galway-based company.

At the time, among those who welcomed the news was councillor Bill Clear of the Naas Municipal District, who said that the move represented "a positive step" towards addressing challenges affecting the Green Bus.

Some of the challenges that Cllr Clear claimed were reported to him by commuters included complaints related to punctuality, overcrowding, filthy busses and "no-show" buses.
