Construction has begun on a €4.4 million residential development in Ballitore, Athy, Co. Kildare, delivering 29 new homes to the area.
The project, located at Oakway and Aby’s Row, will include a mix of apartments, terraced houses, semi-detached homes and detached houses. The development will consist of eight apartments in two two-storey blocks, eight terraced houses in two terrace blocks, ten semi-detached two-storey houses and three detached houses.
Works also include the construction of two apartment blocks containing four units each, along with two-storey terraced dwellings at Oakway.
The scheme will feature a new recessed vehicular entrance, upgraded footpath connections to the existing network, and individual bin and bike storage for apartment and mid-terrace units.

The development will connect to the public foul water sewer and includes transport infrastructure in line with the Kildare County Council Development Plan 2023–2029.
Once completed, the project will provide much-needed housing and support local employment during the construction phase.
