Naas Roads Policing Unit recently observed a vehicle in Derrinturn, which attempted to evade Gardaí.
The driver overtook two vehicles over a continuous white line at the mouth of a junction.
When stopped, the following offences were detected:
No insurance
No tax
No NCT
The driver was a learner permit holder and not displaying L-plates.
The vehicle was seized under Section 41, Road Traffic Act.
Fixed Charge Penalty Notices were issued totalling €540 as well as three penalty points.
Court proceedings are to follow for no insurance.
An Garda Síochána Kildare noted: “Reminder: If you or your vehicle are on the road, ensure both you and the vehicle are legally there.”
