There are 27 Kildare footballers listed in squads across seven colleges for the 2026 Sigerson Cup with four competing in the Fitzgibbon Cup between DCU and Maynooth University.
Maynooth boast the largest share of Kildare players, as one might guess, with over half of the University's Kildare names being listed for the county's O'Byrne Cup opener against Wexford last weekend.
Three of UCD's four Kildare men come from county champions Athy with the addition of Sarsfields star Callum Bolton alongside the Athy trio of Michael Spillane, Padraic Spillane and James McGrath.
DCU have six Kildare men in their ranks with an exciting array of forwards from The Short Grass County set to represent the university. Colm Dalton, Darragh Swords and Ryan Sinkey are the standout names there after superb 2025 season's with their county and respective clubs.
DCU also dominate Kildare's Fitzgibbon Cup representation with county men Cian Boran, Daniel O’Meara named alongside Evan O’Briain.
