Kildare Library Service (KLS) has revealed its full list of Christmas and New Year opening hours.
It follows after the Christmastime opening hours for the Cloncha Rince library were reported yesterday (December 22 last).
Revealing the full list, KLS began by saying that the County Archives & Local Studies and Part-Time Branches (Ballitore, Castledermot, Clane, Kilcock, Kilcullen, Monasterevin and Rathangan) will close today (December 23) at 4pm. They will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.
KLS also said that its Main Branches (Athy, Celbridge, Kildare town, Leixlip, Maynooth and Naas) will also close today at 4pm, and then reopen on Monday, December 29, 2025 as per normal hours.
Then, the following hours will be observed: 10am to 5pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025; 10am to 5pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025; Closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026 and Friday, January 2, 2026; and open as normal from Saturday, January 3, 2026.

KLC also noted that Newbridge Library has been closed to the public since December 11 last "in preparation for the temporary relocation to Liffey Lodge".
"Reopening date in early 2026 to follow," KLS added.
Moreover, KLS said: "Our online services are available 24/7 - check if your library account needs to be renewed before Christmas to ensure you retain access to our online services.
