Gardaí based in South Kildare are investigating the theft of two cars from a home.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary incident that occurred at a residential property in Castledermot, County Kildare on November 26 last that occurred at approximately 2am."

The spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing.

The incident was also highlighted by a Kildare-based garda, Marc Connolly, when he appeared as a guest on KFM on Wednesday, December 3 last.

He told host Hannah Kelly that the first stolen car was a '08-D' silver Chevrolet Avina, while the second stolen car was a '10-KE' black Ford Fiesta.

Gda Connolly also said that anyone who has information relating to these two thefts is asked to contact Castledermot Garda Station on 059 914 4112.
