Blessington Tourist Office has announced the return of its Christmas Jumper Swap Shop! The aim of this annual event is to give new life to people's Christmas jumpers, dresses, and t-shirts that have been outgrown or are no longer worn and are now just collecting dust in the back of your wardrobe.
"We were very proud to have been shortlisted with our friends in the Blessington Allotments Campaign for the Repak Resource National Circular Community Award earlier this year in recognition of our projects such as our annual clothes swap shops," said a tourist office spokesperson.

"We're helping spread some festive cheer whilst also promoting and encouraging sustainability and a circular economy within our community. People can drop their clean and undamaged Christmas clothing into Blessington Tourist Office and receive a swap shop voucher.
"They can then return to the Tourist Office to redeem their voucher over two Saturday's, on November 29 between 10am-2pm and December 6th between 10am-2pm to pick out their new, to them, Christmas clothing item."
The office is accepting all sizes, children's and adults but please note they cann't accept pyjamas or nightwear. Any Christmas clothing still looking for a home after the event will be donated to charity.
