Kildare bungalow to be demolished for €1.4m project

The proposal seeks permission to remove the current dwelling, decommission its septic tank, and develop two detached industrial units on the 0.22-hectare site off the R403

A €1.4 million plan has been lodged for the demolition of an existing bungalow and the construction of a new veterinary practice and light-industrial complex at Capdoo, Clane, Co. Kildare.

The proposal seeks permission to remove the current dwelling, decommission its septic tank, and develop two detached industrial units on the 0.22-hectare site off the R403.

Unit 1 would be a two-storey structure containing a veterinary practice on part of the ground floor, with the remaining ground and first-floor space allocated for a light-industrial unit.

Unit 2 would comprise a stand-alone light-industrial unit.

Access to the development would be provided through the roadway previously approved in 2023.

The project covers a total floor area of 1,021m² and is listed as a privately funded new build within the medical-sector category.
