A design image of the planned development
A €1.3 million mixed-use development has been proposed for 24–25 South Main Street, Naas, Co. Kildare.
The building is the former Murray Spelman offices (below).

Murray and Spelman was established in 1956 and later moved from Naas town centre to the Waterways complex in Sallins. The company was sold in 2019.
The latest plans involve the conversion of the former financial institution at ground-floor level into a combination of commercial and residential use.

The application seeks permission to provide a 235 sq.m office unit at street level, with four apartments on the upper floors - three two-bed units and one one-bed unit—across the first and second storeys.
The project includes associated works such as communal open space, bin and bicycle storage, and other site-development elements on a 0.04-hectare site.
The applicant is Pat Barrett and the scheme has been designed by Davey + Smith Architects.
