A gospel choir in Newbridge was set up nearly 15 years ago and has accumulated over 90 members

Ann Lanigan is another Newbridge local who joined the choir two months after it first started back at the end of 2011.

"I wanted to do something just for me....I liked singing as well so I said I'd join the group.

The best part has been meeting lots of people....it's a very very joyful place to be...when you come down here and spend a couple of hours you don't think about anything else....you forget everything

"It's so inclusive and it's a happy place....it's like a second family....my favourite thing coming up now is the family mass on Christmas Eve in the Parish Church".
