A high-ranking garda who was based in County Kildare has been promoted following the recent allocations of various Superintendents.

According to a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, who announced the news today (November 3), the allocations took place with effect from October 29 last.

The spokesperson said that Supt Georgina Gray would be transfer to the Garda National Protective Services Bureau (GNPSB).

As a result, she will be allocated to detective duties.

The spokesperson added that the following other allocations took place:

  • Superintendent Ronan Carey on transfer to Special Tactics and Operational Command (STOC) and shall be allocated to detective duties
  • Detective Superintendent Thomas Lynch on transfer to Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI)
  • Superintendent Katherina Joyce on promotion to Regional Office, Dublin Metropolitan Region, and shall be allocated to detective duties
  • Superintendent Irene Campbell on promotion to Leixlip Garda Station with responsibility for the Kildare North Community engagement Functional Area, Kildare/ Carlow Garda Division
  • Superintendent Jonathan Hayes on promotion to Blanchardstown Garda Station with responsibility for the DMR West Performance Assurance Functional Area, DMR West Garda Division
