Emergency services personnel are at the scene of a "significant" road accident near Naas today.
Initial reports suggest that there is a damaged bus at the scene along with a damaged van and there are suggestions at least one car may have been involved.
Kildare Fire Service personnel along with gardaí and paramedics are in attendance and it's understood that there are a number of emergency vehicles present, including ambulances and fire engines. The gardaí are also at the scene.
The accident took place not long before 4pm on the N7 northbound between Johnstown and Kill.
There are significant traffic delays on the Dublin bound of the section, back towards Naas.
Traffic was reportedly at a standstill on that side of the route in the aftermath of the incident.
According to the gardaí, the collision involved a pedestrian and a bus, a section of the road was closed and diversions were put in place.
