Kildare housing estate had to be fenced off twice because of horses

Kildare County Council is paying 'to solve a problem it didn't create'

Fencing work at a residential area is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

A Naas Municipal District committee meeting was told that this will be the second time this work has been tendered in Castlesize, Sallins, as part of a number of fencing works to be done around the county.

According to Kildare County Council official Simon Wallace, KCC has had to fence this estate due to encroachment from horses from private land.

He said this means KCC sustained costs “for circumstances not of our making.”
