A new pedestrian crossing has been approved for Naas town centre.

Labour councillor Anne Breen told a Naas Municipal District committee meeting that a controlled crossing is needed  at the junction of Wolfe Tone Street and the main Dublin Road “in the interests of pedestrian safety.”

Kildare County Council said it is  currently progressing the design of a signalised pedestrian crossing on the Dublin Road to the south of Wolfe Tone Street.
