A €5.1m residential development has been given the green light for a site at Doctor's Lane, Maynooth, Co Kildare.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), the plans, by Randelswood Holdings Limited – under architect Downey Architecture and Planning - involve the construction of 18 residential units at Doctor's Lane.
Planning permission follows an appeal having been lodged on June 9 2025, with a decision by An Coimisiún Pleanála ultimately ruling in the developer's favour on October 27 2025.
The planned development includes the following: the construction of 18 residential units comprising of one 2-bed 3-storey terraced house, 10 2-bed with study 3-storey terraced houses, and seven 3-bed 3-storey terraced houses, all provided with private gardens and balconies/terraces.
There is also to be provision for bin and bicycle stores; car parking; new vehicular access on Doctor’s Lane; landscaping; boundary treatments including works to existing boundary treatments; public lighting; and all associated site infrastructure and engineering works necessary to facilitate the development.

Also included is the decommissioning and removal of the existing soakaway system serving no. 8 main street and replacement with a new suds system.
A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and is submitted to the planning authority with the application.
The Natura Impact Statement (NIS) is available for inspection or purchase at the office of the planning authority.
