Warning sign needed for busy Kildare route

Motorists should be made aware of pedestrians crossing

No quickfire ban on heavy lorries from Naas town centre

Kildare County Council is to put up a pedestrian crossing sign on a busy road in Naas.

Cllr Ger Dunne asked KCC for warning signs “to make motorists aware of upcoming pedestrian crossing on Monread Avenue.”

He also asked for the crossing to be painted in black and white colours.

A KCC report pointed out that driving from Sallins Road onto Monread Avenue, a pedestrian crossing sign is in place. A pedestrian crossing sign will be installed in due course alerting drivers coming from the Monread Road direction.
