Plans for €14.7m residential development in Kilcullen, Kildare

A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for a €14.7m, 74 unit residential development in Kilcullen, Co Kildare.

The plans, by Rivermanor Developments Limited, are for lands to the west of the development known as 'Riverside Crescent', Kilcullen, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning application number 2561097 was submitted to the local authority on September 24 2025.

The proposed development is to consist of:

Construction of a residential development comprising of 74 units in total, consisting of 16 three-storey duplex units (8 two-bed units and 8 three-bed units); 16 four-storey duplex units (8 three- bed units and 8 three-bed units); 29 three-bed two-storey houses; and 13 four bed units in a mix of two and three-storey houses.

There is also to be individual vehicular, pedestrian and cyclist access from a number of points from the existing estate road at Riverside Crescent to the east of the application site.

Also included in the plans is provision of public open spaces totalling 2,347 sqm., as well as the inclusion of a total of 115 car parking spaces to serve the development, in addition to 126 bicycle spaces.

There will also be bin store areas located at various points around the development.

Included in the proposed plans are infrastructure works to serve the proposed development to include the internal road and footpath network, ESB substations/switchrooms, lighting, site drainage works, hard and soft landscaping, boundary treatment, and all ancillary site services and development works above and below ground.
The architects for the proposed development is O'Mahony Pike Architects.
