A man forced a hotel premises door open and went inside where he smoked drugs and urinated on a floor, it was alleged at Naas District Court.
James Higgins, 39, whose address was given as 51 Sallins Pier, Sallins, was prosecuted for three offences at a conference centre at the Osprey Hotel on three dates in March 2025.

Detective Garda Christine Brady also claimed the defendant urinated on a carpet, internal lights were activated and the defendant was identified from CCTV footage.
Det Gda Brady said the defendant has addiction issues in relation to heroin and crack cocaine.
Cross examined by defending solicitor Tim Kennelly, Det Gda Brady said the defendant forced an exit door open by pulling out the handle, which was broken.
She disagreed with a suggestion by Mr Kennelly that a four months delay in bringing the case to court initially was because “it’s not a particularly serious matter.”
She said part of the delay was because she had been looking for the defendant for four weeks.
She refuted a suggestion that the gardaí were “lackadaisical”, made by Mr Kennelly who said the defendant “is very easy to find” and “is often seen in the town.”
Gda Brady objected to bail being granted.
Mr Kennelly said the case is a “glorified public order” matter.
The defendant told the court he would turn up for a subsequent hearing.
He also said he is “done with drugs from this day forward.”
He told Judge Desmond Zaidan he is on methadone (which is used to treat heroin dependence) and is trying to get into rehab.
He claimed he was arrested after coming out of a pharmacy where he was getting medication.
Judge Zaida said the defendant is destroying himself with illicit drugs. He said he should be in a State-run rehab centre, but the State has failed to provide these and this failure amounts to facilitating drug taking.
He granted bail and adjourned the case to March 4.
