Prayed her husband and his family would die in a crash, it's alleged at Kildare court

A woman told her husband she prayed he and his family would die in a crash.

This was the man’s evidence at Naas District Court where he sought protection from his wife.

He said she is aggressive as a result of a mental health issue.

He told of his parents visiting and she was shouting at him and the parents “telling them to get out of the house.”

The man also said he had contacted the gardaí, who came to the home.

It was further alleged that she had contacted his friends telling them he was not a good person.

The court also heard the woman is on medication.

He also claimed that the woman, who was not present or represented, had threatened to damage a laptop and this would be detrimental to his work. He said he did not feel comfortable when she is around.

Judge Miriam Walsh granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to January 26.
