Fundraising walk in Kildare for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland

CountyKildareis set to take part in the nationwide Alzheimer’s Memory Walk supported by Aviva on Sunday, September 21st, 2025, in celebration of World Alzheimer’s Day.
The local event will take place in the tranquil surroundings of Moore Abbey Forest in Kildangan, offering a 2km walk through nature to honour and support the 64,000 people living with dementia in Ireland.
The Alzheimer’s Memory Walk supported by Aviva is now in its sixth year and continues to grow in strength and spirit. In 2024, nearly 3,500 walkers across Ireland raised over €150,000 to fund essential services provided by The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, including Daycare, Support Groups, Family Carer Training, Social Clubs, Memory Cafés, and the ASI National Helpline.
Leading the way in CountyKildareis Local Champion Anne Marie Kett, who will guide participants through Moore Abbey Forest starting at 12 noon. The walk offers a peaceful and reflective experience, inviting families, friends, and neighbours to walk together in memory of loved ones or in support of those currently living with dementia.

With nearly 40 walks taking place across the country, the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk supported by Aviva is a powerful reminder of the importance of community, compassion, and connection. Whether you walk to remember, to support, or simply to show you care—your steps matter.
