€178k stables proposed for this Kildare town

A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for the construction of a €178k stables at Longtown North, Prosperous, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning application number 2560902 has been submitted for consideration on August 7 2025.

The architect for the project is Nugent Planning & Design.

The scheme consists of:

  • Construction of six horse stables for the rearing and training of horses with a tackroom, rug room, and dry feed store;

  • Hay storage shed with covered dungstead and effluent holding tank;

  • The construction of two storey type farm house with single storey element to side (south west) elevation;

  • The installation of an Oakstown BAF wastewater treatment plant with polishing filter percolation area;

  • Garage / store for domestic use; and

  • Upgrading of the existing field entrance to form a recessed vehicular entrance and all associated site works.

The total site are is 0.867 ha.
