Naas Roads Policing Unit (#NaasRPU) recently conducted a speed check at Rathgorragh, Kill, Kildare (60 km/h zone) in response to public complaints.
Local residents reported serious concerns about vehicles speeding, making it unsafe to exit their driveways.
Numerous motorists were detected exceeding the limit.
Detections led to multiple Fixed Charged Penaly Notices (FCPNs) being issued, which include a €160 fine and three penalty points.

A message from An Garda Síochána Kildare stated: “Please always consider others. Speeding kills. Please slow down – protect lives and communities. #RoadSafety #SpeedKills #GardaTraffic #StaySafe.”
Meanwhile, Naas Roads Policing Unit were conducting speed checks on the M4 in North Kildare when a vehicle was detected travelling at 156 km/h.
Further checks revealed the driver had no insurance and no driving licence.
A Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN) was issued for speeding, and a court appearance is pending for driving with no insurance and no driving licence.
