Recent government figures have revealed the number of Ukrainian refugees (Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs)) being accommodated by the State in Co Kildare.
The latest figures, dated 29/7/2025, come from the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.
According to the Department, there are currently 524 Ukrainian BOTPs being accommodated in short-term accommodation by the State in Co Kildare.
Of those being accommodated, 262 are male and 262 are female.
In total, there are 112 children being accommodated.

The figures compare with Laois: 273 total (112 male; 161 female; 113 minors)
and Carlow: 163 total (68 male; 95 female; 52 minors)
Dublin has the highest number of BOTPs being accommodated: 3572 total (1532 male; 2040 female; 944 minors)
Longford has the lowest number of BOTPs being accommodated, with 66 in total (18 male; 48 female; 21 minors.)
The number of BOTPs in short term accommodation is taken from the ePass bed management system which the Department states “may be underestimated due to delays in feedback of movement of BOTPs.”
Longer term accommodation for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs)
In terms of longer term accommodation for BOTPs (nationwide), the total number of people who have completed moves into pledged accommodation is: 13,671 as of July 27 2025.
The total number who have completed moves into Offer a Home scheme accommodation is: 10,307.
This gives a total number in longer-term accommodation nationally of 23,978.
