A motorist who was stopped by gardaí in County Kildare had only purchased their vehicle hours earlier.
The incident was detailed by the official Garda Traffic account in X yesterday (August 3 last).
The account explained: "The driver of this car was stopped by gardaí in Newbridge this long weekend after our system showed they’d no insurance."
It added: "This unaccompanied learner had bought it hours earlier and hadn’t insured it yet, but that’s not good enough for a public road we’re afraid."
