Kildare Wildlife Rescue is seeking donations of fish for over 300 animals in its care.
The organisation explained: "Currently, we have over 300 patients in care that rely on fish as all or part of their diet.
"We are seeking donations of whole fish or off cuts and hoping someone has a connection to a fish monger that may be willing to donate the waste parts of catches to help feed some of our patients. We are not looking for donations of tinned fish."
Donations can be dropped into Kildare Wildlife Rescue's centre (R51 X338) from 9am to 8pm, seven days a week.
Kildare Wildlife Rescue also said that collections "can be arranged within reason".
