A chainsaw worth €1,300 was among a number of tools stolen from a shed in North Kildare.

That's according to Garda Orlaith Fahy, who detailed the incident as a guest on KFM yesterday morning (July 30 last).

She explained that the items were stolen from the shed, which is located in Carbury, sometime between 9.30pm on Friday, July 25 last and 8am on Saturday, July 26 last.

According to Gda Fahy, around €1,700 worth of tools were stolen by the perpetrator(s), with one of the tools — the chainsaw — being valued at €1,300.

She concluded by urging anyone with information about this particular crime to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí attended the scene following report of an incident of burglary at an outhouse in Carbury, County Kildare, that occurred between Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, 2025.

"A quantity of tools are believed to have been taken."

They added: "Investigations are ongoing."
