€9.6m apartment development given go ahead for Kildare

A €9.6m 48 unit apartment development has been given the go ahead for Bishopsland, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), planning permission has been granted Eurkon (Kildare) Limited for a development at Oak Church, Dunmurry Rd/Southern Internal Link Road, Bishopsland, Co Kildare.

The development will consist of the construction of 48 own hall door apartments (7 1 bed/2 person, 17 2 bed/3 person, 5 2 bed/4 person and 19 3 bed/5 person) in three 3-storey duplex blocks.

The blocks will consist of: Block A: 10 units – comprising 5 1-bed ground floor apartments and 5 2-bed first & second floor apartments; Block B: 10 units comprising 5 2-bed ground floor apartments and 5 3-bed first & second floor apartments; and Block C: 28 units consisting of 2 1-bed ground floor apartments, 12 2-bed ground floor apartments and 14 3-bed first & second floor apartments.

The development will also include all associated ancillary site development works, car parking, bin and bicycle stores and public / communal open spaces on previously approved site (for 88 apartments in two 3 and 4 storey blocks) reg. ref.18/1027 known as sector 3.

The overall site was approved under reg. ref. 18/1026 (sector 1) & reg. ref. 18/1028 (sector 2) on subject site of circa 0.7 ha.

The architect for the development is Terry & O'Flanagan Limited.
