Construction of 99 housing units and crèche proposed for this Kildare town. File photograph
The construction of 99 brand-new housing units, along with a crèche, have been proposed for one town in County Kildare.
A planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council (KCC) shows that Neville Homes Limited intends to construct the development at a site located on the Sallins Link Road, Osberstown in Sallins.
According to the description of the application, the crèche facility would be accessible from the Sallins Link Road.
It also notes: "The residential units shall comprise of 75 houses and 24 own-door duplex apartments.
"The houses shall consist of a mix of two and three-storey semi-detached and terraced dwellings comprising 63 three-bedroom and 12 four-bedroom units.

"The duplex apartments shall be located in four three-storey buildings and shall comprise 10 one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom and two three-bedroom units with associated balconies / terraces.
"The single-storey crèche will extend to circa 207 square metres with associated outdoor play area."
If approved by KCC, the development would also include: vehicular and pedestrian entrance from Sallins Link Road; pedestrian link to Grand Canal Greenway; internal access roads; homezones; footpaths and cycle lanes; car parking (131 spaces); bicycle parking, bin storage and substations; landscaped public open spaces, boundary treatments and entrance signage; temporary construction access from Sallins Link Road; the demolition of an agricultural shed; drainage infrastructure.
Permission is also being sought for all associated site works and services.
The date received on the application is listed as July 25 last, while the submission-by an due dates are listed as August 28, 2025 and September 18, 2025 respectively.
The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that Neville Homes Ltd was established in January of 2008.
However, according to its official website, Neville Homes Limited has over "30 years experience".
The business has a registered address listed as Auburn House, Redmond Road, County Wexford and also trades as both Anthony Neville & Sons Developments and Neville Homes.
