Kildare County Council has provided a list to the Celbridge-Leixlip Municipal District of all council owned land that has the potential to be used for either youth spaces or a play park in Celbridge.
Confirmation from the council followed a question tabled by Cllr Rupert Heather (LAB) at a recent MD meeting held on Friday July 18 2025.

The local authority listed the following council-owned spaces as being suitable for playgrounds and teen spaces:
The Slip, Main Street, Celbridge
Willowbrook Park, Celbridge
Hazelhatch Road, Celbridge
Donaghcumper, Celbridge
The council noted that all of these sites would require masterplans to be developed if they were to be considered for playgrounds or teen facilities.
The council further noted that a number of existing open space within housing estates which are taken in charge could also be considered for teen facilities.
